I ran across this poem today and it made me think of the incredible leadership partnerships that exist between Canada and America.  It is one of the blessings of this LIFE business that brings hope to both our nations, and the encouragement brings hope to every family.

THE HAND-CLASP

Give me your hand across the line,

We'll face towards the sea,

You wear your crown of silver stars,

My maple leaf for me.

Fair heritage is this fair land,

Our flags wave o'er the whole,

Yours from the line to Rio's stream,

And mine from line to pole.

Within our bounds no tyrant lives,

Our flags wave proud and free,

O'er you the bars and silver stars,

The red-white pales o'er me.

For that my hand across the line

And strong the grip will be;

We'll sing "America" for you,

"O Canada" for me.

Here's to leadership and liberty, and the spread of freedom!

Thats awesome! We are all human beings first, where you live shouldn't matter and in LIFE it doesnt and thats great.

The biggest territory to develop in under your hat.

To move a mountain you start by moving one stone at a time.

That is an awesome poem :)

I think that its great that we are all free to be able to be in business with each other, regardless of the fact that we are in 2 different countries.  Our countries are more alike than some people care to acknowledge, but in LIFE, it doesn't matter....we are all equal and treat each other as such.

Can't wait to see our American brothers and sisters again in a couple of weeks :)

What a great poem! It's awesome that through life LEADERSHIP we are able to reach so many lives in so many different areas to do the things we're supposed to be doing, leading by example , teaching about loyalty and integrety and honor , this unity will reach world wide!

That is a fantastic poem I loved it for we are brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers truly north americans under two different flags. Our Parents and Grandparents fought together for us to live where we do today in a free society. Now its up to us to keep it that way for bit by bit its being taken away cause its easy to lose what you don't realize that you have. Life Leadership is going to change that educating people building our future leaders. Men and Women of courage, integrity and honour to move forward and make sure that our children grow up in as great a country as we did, if not even better. For as Orrin says "if its to be its up to me" for the buck stops here!

I can't believe I never noticed this post before. It's a great poem and gives food for thought. It shows that borders do not have to create differences and the LIFE Business reinforces that truth.Great job Leah.

Leah, thanks for posting.  I feel so grateful to our brothers and sisters south of the border.  Our two countries are world renowned for the longest undefended border.  We in Canada enjoy so much benefit from our American friends' stance on freedom, innovation and entrepreneurship.  Thank you for sharing!
